Riverview Florida has quite an old population as compared to other regions of Florida. The median age of its population is 38, while that of the Florida overall population is 65. Those numbers however are much higher than the average in the state. The city of Riverview is best known for its restaurants and its year-round vacation attraction, the Everglades. There are many points of interest and activities to do around Riverview, especially for those who love to spend their free time in the scenic outdoors.
The Everglades. There are two prominent attractions in Riverview Florida; the Everglades and the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team. Both these teams' home grounds are located in Riverview Florida. The Tampa Bay Rays even owns their own stadium, which is located at Bay View Park.
The Bookmakers. Riverview Florida was one of the first planned communities in Florida; it was established in May of 1924. At that time, several bookmakers were looking at putting together a gambling community in Florida. They had been in business for over forty years. They are still involved in the operation today, and have been highly successful, drawing hundreds of tourists each year to visit their various attractions.
The World's Largest Reptile Zoo and the Florida Panther National Park. As already mentioned, Riverview Florida was among the first planned communities in Florida; these two locations, along with the two zoos, were published September 12th. These two attractions draw in a large number of tourists, some coming from out of state.
Riverview's unique shopping center. Located on the east side of town, the Riverview Marketplace is a one hundred and fifty plus year old shop that still offers several shops, boutiques, restaurants, and movie theaters. The Marketplace is open for several hours each day, seven days a week. It is known for its sale prices, as well as being home to a large percentage of Riverview's business. Numerous stores include Big Lots, Tractor Supply, Discount Mavens, Lowe's, Kmart, and Pier 1 Imports.
There are many other attractions located within walking or driving distance of Riverview Florida, all located within a short driving distance of each other. A few are the Intracoastal Water View Homes, a luxury residence located on twenty acres of beach property, only a few minutes drive from downtown Riverview. Another attraction is the Campfire Pass, an outdoor camping facility that is only fifteen minutes away from the luxurious Water View Homes. With everything that Riverview Florida has to offer, it's no wonder why it continues to be one of the hottest real estate markets in the country.
